About

Albuquerque New Mexico based landscape photographer, Shane McMurphy, has been developing his photography skills since 2008. His award winning photography has been shown as part of exhibits in the Southwest.

Shane originally got into photography as an escape from his day job as an Emergency Department Nurse. To this day, photography continues to be a creative outlet in his ongoing nursing career.

This outlet has allowed Shane the time to travel extensively though California, the South West, and Europe amassing multiple opportunities to create landscape photographs in his own self-taught style.

Shane’s photography style is influenced by not only Ansel Adams and the Group f/64, but also by the romantic 19th century landscape painters.

Starting with digital photography, Shane has expanded, and for the past number of years has been working exclusively in analog photography. Most recently, he has been working in 4x5 large format . This new creative experience has been a learning opportunity, but has allowed him to explore the wonderful world of analog photography.

It is though these influences and explorations that Shane creates the photographs and handcrafted prints that you see today.
